I actually observed C.elegans mating under microscope!!!

It might just be my problem, but all the mating cases I've observed, it's always one hermaphrodites with at least two males! That's what we call it....3P!

I figure it's the pheromons. The hermaphrodites must release pheromons to attract males. I always wondered whether it make a different for the hermaphrodites if it mates with males, or if it just self fertilizes. But my friends point to me, it has only got 959 cells! “No, they can't feel it! Stop think about it!" They urged me. I must have watched too much torchwood...

I'm still scared to think about those mutant who develop no valva. It's just....I thought they might be explode by growthing embryos. But it turns out, the embryo will eat it way out... I don't know which one is more dreadful. It dies of the development and growth of its offspring, and it can't have sex.

Before I stop, just want to mention some research I read the other day. Some scientists are actually trying to develop female gametes into sperms. And they succeeded doing that, except the generated sperms are not viable. They are, still, trying to improve their techniques.

Thinks about it. My first reaction was: No, I don't want to become a hermaphrodite!! But it might do some good for the lesbians. But still, I need a moment to digest when all that comes true.
